This is a vodka Martini. Featured on @boticariobar’s latest menu, the Ártico y Antártico is an on-the-rocks take on the classic that draws inspiration from the Arctic Ocean and surrounding countries. The base of the drink is a malt-infused vodka that mimics the flavor of whisky. The spirit is mixed with a vermouth made from once-frozen fresh grapes, then topped with a sea salt foam that disappears into the cocktail as it sits—a visual representation of melting glacial ice. While many of the cocktails at the Buenos Aires bar invite contemplation, this drink doesn’t force the message: It’s a balanced mix of flavors from both land and sea, and it’s also just a delicious take on the Martini.
