TW: Mental Health Update. . . . . . . Yesterday, I had an appointment with my psychiatrist and she pointed out that I've been on medication for over a year. She said that she's proud of my progress. And I told her how I have been managing my anxiety like I never have before. I havent needed my anxiety medication sinxe August 12th. I know we all wants to make our mom proud but I live for mental health professionals being proud of me too. The happiness in this photo is very, very real. I have had some tough days but I am truly working through it. Dare I say, I am thriving instead of just surviving. I know I can feel differently tomorrow. Sheesh even 10 minutes from now. It doesn't matter. I am going to cherish every victory I can have with my mental illness. Big or small.
