Today is going to be a hard day for a lot of us, for the yugioh community. Today we lost Kazuki Takahashi, the creator of Yugioh, may he Rest In Peace. • YuGiOh for me means so much, from finding it when I was 8-9, til now. I’ll never forget the first time I saw ygo, I went downstairs to see what games my dad was playing only to see Kaiba and all of those amazing characters for the first time on screen. I was instantly transfixed and sat down to watch it with my dad. Yugioh gave me a closer relationship with my father, gave us something to bond over. It also gave me so many memories, from opening my first card pack, to getting my first duel disk and playing live action duels with friends in the back yard. My friends now also know how much this show means to me since I always talk about it • I wouldn’t be here without the show, it gave me hope and made me believe in always moving forward. I’ve made so many great memories and friends, my best friends too because of this show. I still remember the first time I Cosplayed from it, when I cosplayed Ryou, then Joey, and so many more now. I can’t wait for all the new memories to come and to continue on the YuGiOh legacy. • Take care of yourselves today my friends Once again, thank you for everything Kazuki, you’ve done so much for so many people, given us so much.
