My uncle is so important to gospel music, the Brooklyn church sound, organ enthusiasts, and to anyone who has had the privilege of sitting with or hearing him. He’s an amazing organist but also a profound teacher and prophet. His music speaks to that. The hardest thing for me to do is sing with organists without his level of meticulousness. He approach’s every hymn with care and plays through services with sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. I am blessed to be connected to such a powerhouse. I’ve heard the story about how Pop anointed your hands to play when you were a child and you’ve been playing since. That story is a testament to the importance of being chosen and anointed to minister. Countless days you’ve ministered through playing... healing the sick, casting out devils, lifting and mending the broken, and driving away spirits. Thank you for being a caring uncle...
