The only reason I ever started standup comedy was to host a charity show for a friend @arashkamongeer who suffered a severe spinal cord injury. That man has been an inspiration to all around him, writing a book, giving a TEDx talk and now running a non-profit helping others facing similar challenges. We've kept the comedy show going, helped raise over $60k, and Comedy for A Spinal Cause is now back after a more than 2 year involuntary hiatus! It's always strangely hard to get folks to come out to a charity comedy show so if you know anyone in Oakland in need of some hilarity do send them our way!
