FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT’S LARGEST COLLECTION OF HIS WORK IS IN FLORIDA ? For my birthday this year, I wanted to do something different, something that truly filled me up. So, we made the trip to Lakeland and took the Frank Lloyd Wright Tour at Florida Southern College, home to the world’s largest collection of Wright’s architecture in one place! Although the campus is public and you can always explore on your own with the free self-guided walking tour, we decided to go all in and book the $125 in depth experience, the highest tier they offer. It’s worth every penny. This ticket gives you exclusive access to interiors and areas that the general public never gets to step inside, including rare design elements, private buildings, and an intimate look at Wright’s “Child of the Sun” vision brought to life. From the moment the tour began, I was completely entranced. You learn so much, not only about Wright’s genius as an architect but also about his philosophy, his obsession with organic design, and how deeply he believed in harmony between people, buildings, and nature. Every structure has a story, every angle a purpose. Standing inside these spaces surrounded by his light, his geometry, his copper details aged to a jade like patina, I genuinely felt transported. It’s hard to describe how emotional it was. I’ve always admired Frank Lloyd Wright’s work, but after this tour, I feel even more connected to him as a person. The more I learn about him, the more I see him as this beacon of light, someone whose creativity and confidence were decades ahead of his time. Truly one of the best days of my life and a birthday I’ll never forget. Did you know about this ? #70saesthetic #franklloydwright #franklloydwrightarchitecture #floridasoutherncollege #floridahistory
