Waiting For Gold. ☀️. _ The best version of the waiting game is waiting for the light during golden hour while sitting on top of a cliff overlooking a valley. Especially when on top of a waterfall and it almost seems to catch fire as it reflects the golden light. On a weekend a while ago I made the 3hr trip here on both days in an attempt to get a particular shot I had in mind. I thought I did everything right. I arrived early, made educated guesses on the weather and put in the calculation work. I did not get that shot. 🤦‍♂️😂. But what I did get was time on top of this epic waterfall. During that time I found new potential compositions like this one and learned that it's okay to be that guy who visits national parks with an umbrella on a sunny day (I needed shade!).
