Wild day out at @cheqmtb ! Conditions went from fast and dry to greasy and wet in a hurry. Definitely a crazy ride trying to stay upright on the file tread Aspen ST. That tire still performed shockingly well for how fast it is 🔥 With a few miles left @paysonmcelveen went down in a slick turn and I had nowhere to go but into him. I think my hydration pack broke some of my fall which was nice.... Jumped back up, chased like mad and was able to make contact with the lead bunch just to then take myself out again with a few hundred meters left in the race. 💩 happens on days like this 🤷🏼‍♂️. Still happy to come away with a 4th (and 3rd place @lifetimegrandprix points) after what was an absolutely hectic day in the north woods. Highlight of the day was definitely ripping the longer descent of the race with all the “under tire’d” mountain bike guys.
