FRESH. It has been a crazy week watching the reviews come in from Fresh movie. I am so excited to finally share the BTS of this film with all of you. First up, Steve’s house studio build. It has been so fun to get messages from people asking about Steve’s house. This was an ultimate dream of mine...to build a mid-century inspired home from scratch and design the underground lair for Steve’s captives. Every design detail was specific to the feelings we wanted to convey about Steve, his ego, his thirst, and how to properly trick our audiences in their interpretation of him. The main design challenge was to create multiple levels in his home so we could always have positions where we find Steve standing above Noa. The materials and colours all played a specific role in the film. The artwork alone took months to curate, commission and place specifically for each scene.
