Mermaids and moons. On Monday, my siren @scarlethaxa and I took a well-deserved break from our responsibilities to be creative. It reminded me that no matter how busy, and maybe most true when we are busiest, it is so uplifting and joyous to carve out a little space to create. Creation is my medicine always, and instantaneously dissipated my blah, stressed, overwhelmed mood. I washed an entire wakame-salad’s worth of seaweed from the dresses after, I kid you not. And magically, the end of the night was serenaded with a sliver crescent moon, visible in the last photo in which I look like a creep from a horror movie. These summer evenings have been such a delight, the hot days a testament of the current season, and the cool comfortable evenings an exciting look ahead to fall. After final goodbyes to our friends, coworkers, favourite restaurants and places, we’re hopping on a plane now to spend a week in the north of Canada. The Yukon is such a special place its farewell deserves an entire week, fully immersed, camping with no cell service or power. This will be my last post until I return.
