Cathedral In The Sky. _ Taken somewhere in the Kosciuszko region. @dalegphoto and I spent 3 nights exploring the area. On the second day we saw this distant hill that looked interesting and decided to head there. "Looks close enough" I thought. Half an hour of walking on uneven terrain we were no where near this hill. The extreme vastness and openness of this place messes with your depth perception. Landmarks that seem close are so much further than you think. After further exploring while scrambling for a decent composition as sunset drew near I stumbled onto this one. As I was setting up 2 curious wild brumbies walked by probably wondering what are these hairless ape things doing here on our turf 😂. I had an awesome session, my comp was locked in and I got to see the light slowly change and watched the brumbies while I waited. Meanwhile Dale literally fell in a cave that framed the burning sky after sunset perfectly.
