In my other bleach and tone video that went viral a lot of people commented : •Why aren’t you doing the roots ? •Doesn’t bleach just go through everything ? •Why use conditioner or mask ? •You should have started in the back first! •That takes too long To address that : Just because you learnt it in beauty school doesn’t mean there aren’t other ways from getting A to B. Challenge yourself before judging. And when you do something a lot and you practice you can analyze and adjust your methods. It’s okay to do what works for you. •With any lightening service you have to recognize body heat. It is important hence why we left the roots for last or started in the front with low volume. •Yes bleach can be damaging we know this and can eat through most products but at what rate. Imagine if you didn’t have anything there to protect the hair. How fast would it work. A lot more faster I would say. So unless your perfect at your application and timing I would suggest to add a protectant just for the insurance. Especially if the hair has been compromised. Lastly, as you can see I work with an associate for timing. This is what works for me. I am always adjusting minor details that are custom for my clients. I have found not everyone’s body heats up the same. It’s not just having a relationship with your guest it’s also having a relationship with their hair and understanding it.
