"Breastfeeding came easy to me, but it was exhausting. I felt so much pressure to exclusively nurse, but quickly realized I needed the ability to take a break from feeding. When I introduced pumping and bottle feeding to let other people help me feed, I was so worried about losing the bond that everyone talks about. Another mom told me "the one thing you can do that no one else can is feed your baby" and that stressed me out. I was worried I would lose that bonding time when I nurse, the only time in the day when my crazy busy baby slows down and rests with me. Today when I give her a bottle, she still rests her little head on me and we stare at each other in amazement. Other people might be able to feed her, but no one else holds the bond we've built through nursing, bottle feeding and so much more. I'm so honored to have the ability to produce milk and make the right feeding choice for us." — @madison.perez This year, we’ve decided to celebrate by asking friends of Storq to share a glimpse into how they’re feeding their kids. Regardless of how you’re getting it done, the process is almost never easy or straightforward. And the most important thing will always be healthy kids, healthy moms, and families doing the best we can with the resources we have.
