Marmite, Ham, Brussels Sprouts and Camembert Toastie ๐ฎโ๐จ 7 Days of Brussels sprout recipes ๐ฑ
AD I Today, Iโve teamed up with @marmite to recreate one of Mimi, of @beatthebudget , gorgeous festive family recipes that feed five for under a fiver.
This tasty toastie is simple to make, low cost, and is honestly so delicious! Whatโs more, each recipe also contains tasty seasonal veggies that count towards your five a day.๐ซ
It is also the perfect recipe for using up your leftover Brussels sprouts after Christmas Day, and might even convert the sprout haters in your family to being lovers!

Ingredients:
๐ง 175g Camembert, thinly sliced into planks
๐ท 200g ham slices
๐ 10 slices thick white bread
๐ฎโ๐จ 5 tsp Marmite
๐ฑ 250g frozen Brussels sprouts, defrosted and sliced into quarters, stems removed
Cupboard Essentials
๐ง 5 tbsp butter or olive oil (1 tbsp per sandwich)
๐ข๏ธ 1 tbsp olive oil for Brussels sprouts
Method:
1. Defrost your Brussels in the microwave for 2 minutes.
2.To a non-stick frying pan, add 1 tbsp of olive oil along with the Brussels. Fry for around 5-6 minutes. Set aside.
3. Meanwhile, butter or add oil to both sides of your bread (approx. 1 tbsp per 2 pieces of
bread). Then, coat one side of each piece of bread with a thin layer of marmite. Adjust
Marmite quantity depending on preference. I love a lot!
4. Into a non-stick frying pan, place the bread butter-side down, so the Marmite is facing upwards.
5. Leave to toast for a couple of minutes and then add a layer of Camembert, ham and Brussels. Close the sandwich and fry on each side for two minutes, until the bread is crispy and the cheese has melted. Enjoy!
