Marmite, Ham, Brussels Sprouts and Camembert Toastie ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ 7 Days of Brussels sprout recipes ๐ŸŒฑ AD I Today, Iโ€™ve teamed up with @marmite to recreate one of Mimi, of @beatthebudget , gorgeous festive family recipes that feed five for under a fiver. This tasty toastie is simple to make, low cost, and is honestly so delicious! Whatโ€™s more, each recipe also contains tasty seasonal veggies that count towards your five a day.๐Ÿซ‘ It is also the perfect recipe for using up your leftover Brussels sprouts after Christmas Day, and might even convert the sprout haters in your family to being lovers! Visit the link in my stories to give it a go for yourself this festive season! ๐ŸŽ„ Total recipe cost: ยฃ4.94 Cost per portion: 99p Makes: 5 Ingredients: ๐Ÿง€ 175g Camembert, thinly sliced into planks ๐Ÿท 200g ham slices ๐Ÿž 10 slices thick white bread ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ 5 tsp Marmite ๐ŸŒฑ 250g frozen Brussels sprouts, defrosted and sliced into quarters, stems removed Cupboard Essentials ๐Ÿงˆ 5 tbsp butter or olive oil (1 tbsp per sandwich) ๐Ÿ›ข๏ธ 1 tbsp olive oil for Brussels sprouts Method: 1. Defrost your Brussels in the microwave for 2 minutes. 2.To a non-stick frying pan, add 1 tbsp of olive oil along with the Brussels. Fry for around 5-6 minutes. Set aside. 3. Meanwhile, butter or add oil to both sides of your bread (approx. 1 tbsp per 2 pieces of bread). Then, coat one side of each piece of bread with a thin layer of marmite. Adjust Marmite quantity depending on preference. I love a lot! 4. Into a non-stick frying pan, place the bread butter-side down, so the Marmite is facing upwards. 5. Leave to toast for a couple of minutes and then add a layer of Camembert, ham and Brussels. Close the sandwich and fry on each side for two minutes, until the bread is crispy and the cheese has melted. Enjoy! #ad #budgetmeals #beathtebudget #easyrecipes #christmasrecipe
