I’ve got to the stage where I’m yet again reflecting and evolving, and even entertaining the disucssion around why “weights won’t make you bulky” starts to make me consider why it’s even an issue in the first place? To be clear... there are many many reasons why lifting weights won’t make you ‘bulky’ (I won’t go into that here) I just wanted to share my thoughts on why we are so obsessed about commenting either way.
I also want to be clear, that I definitely have aesthetic goals, I am so proud that I love how training makes me look and feel (hasn’t always been the case.)
This isn’t meant to be judgemental, it’s about declaring FREEDOM for women to be and look however they want. My mission is to show women they can change their life with lifting weights for the first time, and if that’s not for you, that’s ok too. But having held back from these things from a lot of my life due to the fear of not looking the part, I don’t want anyone else wasting time about what others think.
