Sumba , Indonesia, 2007- "Pinch me Murphy, I'm dreaming again" The cliff below was reminiscent of the white cliffs of dover. The beach had long wide strips of perfectly rounded edge stones in all shades of grey and whites. Gary Burns showed me the path to an overview I wanted to check out. This perch was right on the edge of a tall cliff, ripe to crumble off in a Indonesian earthquake. A large alpha male monkey was posturing and trying to scare me away. The hair on the back of my neck stood up. He started to throw things and shake the branches. I waited for some sets and left. He scared me off. The perch had a spooky , other worldly Indo vibe. Exploring the wilderness in Indo you sometimes just get that feeling that it is time to go. This spot was magic and filled Flippy's often stated directive " Take me to the Trestles of Indo, I don't want some grinding terrifying reef set up !
