12 years ago my mind was racing like a Formula 1 car. My mind was like spaghetti π
After an 8 week mindfulness course. I was aware that my mind had slowed down and I now had a degree of control over my thoughts. From the course I created the exercise below:-
Thought Lake City (use this practice to help detach from thoughts) - close your eyes, slowly become aware of thoughts entering your mind. Try not to judge, allow them to move from one side of the mind to the other and let them splash into a lake. Thought Lake City. Keep noticing and plunging, noticing and plunging. Do this for 10 mins.
Meditation doesn't have to be boring and hard work. When we use our imagination and humour we can make it fun!!
There are endless benefits to meditation. Controlling our thoughts is such a powerful one.
Our brain is a muscle and the most powerful tool we have. Meditation is the method of taking our brain to the gym.
