Today is #WorldRangerDay, and we’d like to send a huge thank you to Irvine’s Park Safety Officers and Open Space Ranger! Park Safety Officers patrol Great Park and the surrounding areas 24 hours a day by vehicle, on foot, or on bicycle. They also provide traffic control and security for large scale events, respond to non-emergency calls from the public, write police reports, and monitor competitive/recreational sporting events. Open Space Rangers regularly patrol rugged terrain to ensure visitors can safely enjoy outdoor nature adventures. Rangers assist with responding to emergencies and protect the natural resources in Irvine’s open space. #YourGreatPark #Irvine
