It’s been a while since I sang for myself, and I can’t really say that I succeeded in learning this song today because I found myself choking on my emotions and having to swallow my tears between every note. There is a war 🇺🇦 on my mind, and I have already been struggling to figure out how a small person like me can have any positive impact on trying to make this world better. I have been feeling that although there is so much beautify in this world, there is a lot of ugliness in our humanity that is just too hard to accept. It has also been a hard weekend to put on a face and entertain an audience when I know so many of my friends are suffering right now because their families are in the middle of a war. The reality of it all is just too much. With that being said, here is a raw draft of my struggle to get the words out. This song is by The Tiny and it’s called “Turn off the News.”
