The secret is out and everybody knows it: seed oils, vegetable oils, canola oil = NO BUENO! !!️ I was reading all the ingredient labels in the WF hot and salad bar the other week and WOW— so many inflammatory oils.
We all know, we all know they know, so why can’t health food stores and these “healthy” brands use oils that are actually good for us? Persistent inflammation in our bodies is not what we want or need, and the fact that our food industry uses them ubiquitously is rather frustrating. 😭
Soybean oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, corn oil, peanut oil, rice bran oil, canola oil, grapeseed oil, vegetable oil (etc) — my family generally avoids. We are not perfect by any means and obviously eat out sometimes which means we likely consume these oils when we do.
It would be nice if we could “eat out” at a health food store like WF and be free of them there! Hopefully someday! In the meantime, control what you can.
In our home we cook with organic grass fed tallow, butter or ghee. Occasionally with olive or coconut oil. And sometimes with leftover bacon fat! We use mostly animal based oils/fats for cooking. 🧈
Also, I just had to use this video in a reel. 😂 Leo had a sudden change of heart when on a ride at the fair. Although he did say it was his favorite ride! 😆
