I ain’t doing that gym for nothing 😂
My workout routine is also in my Weight loss & ED recovery online course (link in bio) 🏋🏻♂️
Here’re some of my workout rules:
1) 1 day in the gym- 1 muscle targeted. If I come for a 🍑 day- I do all the exercises for an hour targeting that muscle. If you try to do some legs, then some abs, then some arms- you just end up not giving enough time to any of them and leave with no progress.
2) No overworking. You can only keep being motivated to workout if you keep it joyful. So if you feel like you have no more power to exercise- just leave and rest. Then there’s a bigger chance that you’ll actually be excited to come next time, unlike the situation when you leave exhausted and never want to repeat it again.
3) Be consistent. Better to do 3 workouts a week for 30 minutes than 2 hours workout 1 time a week.
4) Take your focus OFF the weight loss when you workout. Stop checking your weight all the time. Focus on your health, understand that exercising is so much more than losing weight: it helps your brain to produce serotonin, it makes your muscles strong which is important to maintain the overall physical health, you become more disciplined and you build a part of your new, better identity. Most important: stop thinking of physical activity as of a way to “burn calories that you consumed”. It’s a very dangerous way of thinking that leads to a disordered eating behaviour.
