Unfortunately, these mountains don’t give a shit about us. We love them to death, but the feelings are not mutual. I’ve put my foot through crevasses, been blasted by rocks, caught in slides, fallen of cliffs, taken whips, hit trees, been cut, scraped and bruised. Yet, I keep climbing... We’re only here for a limited time, to not do the things we love with the people and communities we care about, would not be living at all. We cannot live in fear for what might happen.
