Pelagic Purple Jellyfish 🌊 This is the Scyphozoan jellyfish, Thysanostoma loriferum, a member of the Mosaic Jellies (Leptobrachidae family)! It is a relatively rare species with little being known surrounding its ecology, which is the case for a lot of jellyfish species due to the challenges associated with detecting and studying them in their natural environments!
