For the last 5 years I have taken myself around the world on purpose to get TRIGGERED. What is a trigger? They are survival responses driven by the sympathetic nervous system. Designed to help us seek safety, love and connection. How are they created? Triggers are created from challenging experiences in our past. Predominantly between the ages of 2-7. Unresolved triggers in time will cause stress, illness and disease. The questions I share with you below are the exact ones I ask myself when I get triggered. 1, How did I create this situation. When we get to see how our energy created the experience, it's so empowering. 2, What emotions am I feeling? What's the texture, colour, weight and even sound of the emotion(s). Get descriptive. 3, How old do I feel right now? Just let an age come up and feel this younger part of you. 4, When did I feel these feelings in my past? The emotion is stored from the past and has all the information in it to give you insight. 5, what do I believe about myself or this situation? This is a perfect opportunity to find hidden beliefs about ourselves or situations for us to change.
