A friend of mine who is Brazilian explained her favorite dessert from home. “Quindim”, she said, “Soft, sweet egg custards with crunchy coconut on the bottom. We eat them at Christmas, but I love them so much I could eat them whenever!”. Her birthday was in a week, so I secretly made them for her—it was such a fun thing to try out. I had no idea this light, eggy batter would separate into this beautiful sweet treat. I used @drjessicabharris’s beautiful recipe from @foodandwine and they came out perfectly.
