dumplings weekly Chipotle Chilli Oil Wontons 🌱 Perfect for your Veganuary dumpling fix 🔥 The filling is a mixture of mushrooms and tofu, with soy sauce, sugar, pepper as seasonings ✨ I love Chipotle flakes, they’re one of my favourite cupboard ingredients 🌶️ They add a smoky kick to any dish 😮‍💨 I hope you enjoy the recipe and let me know if you give it a go ❤️ Ingredients (Makes 15 dumplings) For the dough: 🌾 150g plain flour 💧 75ml water For the filling: 🍄 5 mushrooms, finely chopped 🍶 1/2 pack firm tofu, finely chopped 🍶 1 tsp soy sauce 🍬 1 tsp sugar 🧂 1/2 tsp black pepper Chipotle chilli oil: 🧄 1 tsp minced garlic 🥢 1 tsp minced ginger 🍶 1/2 tsp sesame seeeds 🌶️ 1 tsp chipotle flakes 🍬 1/2 tsp sugar 🛢️ 2 tbsp hot oil 🌶️ 1/2 tbsp normal chilli oil Other 🌱 1 spring onion, finely chopped for garnish Method 1. Combine your flour and water with chopsticks to form a shaggy dough. Knead for a few minutes and then cover with cling film and set aside. 2. Meanwhile, add your finely chopped mushroom and tofu to a pan with your sauce sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Fry for 5 minutes and then leave to cool. 3. Roll out your dough until it’s thin, around 3mm thick. Using a sharp knife, slice into equal squares. 4. Place a spoonful of the filling into the centre of the wrapper. Fold in half to form a triangle and seal the sides. Then pinch two ends of the triangle and bring them together and seal. Repeat this step. 5. Boil your wontons for 6 mins. 6. Meanwhile combine all of your Chipotle chilli oil ingredients into a bowl and stir. 7. Once your wontons are cooked, serve them up in a bowl topped with your chilli oil, sliced spring onion, and sesame seeds. Enjoy! #veganuary #dumplings #wontons
