these buyers need to understand a few key things to be bought in on your brand ⬇️ 1) how are you different? this needs to be substantial for scale, so really think about what innovation you are offering to a category that isn’t being offered. just you, being homemade, being natural, etc... isn’t different enough 2- get them excited about the category! for us, it was really helping them understand how much acne care is on the rise and how it continues to be a white space for retailers when it comes to innovation. be a thought leader here 3- combining the above, you’re now talking about bringing an incremental guest to their store. how does your innovation and product truly bring more eyes to a growing category? you should be doing and speaking on pieces that haven’t been done before, so you’re now bringing more shoppers to this space. 4- last, but not least, marketing! it is a very common misconception that the retailers push you and you’ll get a big boost from just being on their shelves. these stores know that YOU are the one driving the sales, so if they aren’t confident in how big you are or how good your marketing is, they will pass. sell the brand, the category and prove you can move the product. if you read all of this- drop a comment about your brand and i’ll pick one to make a reel on how i’d approach a buyer with it 🤔🤩
