What does a legend look like to you? Meet seven-year-old Qais. When Qais arrived on set for the filming of the superhero scene in our latest campaign film, he came directly from his radiation appointment to treat his cancer. Qais is the true definition of a legend – on film shoot day and every day. 💙✨ Diagnosed with neuroblastoma twice in his life, Qais has been through numerous tests and treatments including a 10-hour surgery, intensive high-dose chemotherapy, an MRI, a CT scan, multiple X-rays, an MIBG scan, stem cell transplants, immunotherapy, and long periods of time spent in isolation at the hospital... Qais has missed his large, tight-knit family the most. But this legend never gives up! He loves spending time with his siblings and parents, always finding ways to make them laugh and gives the biggest hugs. Qais is also a huge superhero fan – especially Spider-Man and Iron Man. 🦸‍♂️ We’re building a new SickKids so families like Qais’ can be together, making memories, during difficult times.
