Dettol is an Australian brand made decades ago additionally they have a different regulatory system then the UK. Interestingly they mention using it to “douche” however on the website it specifically says ‘don’t use on skin’ ‘SUITABLE FOR FLOORS’ Which is it Dettol? this is confusing. It’s an OTC product we get that but if the NHS sexual health department and also Dettol’s website for this HOUSEHOLD GRADE (they put that to differentiate from hospitals disinfect grade) say avoid skin, don’t use on delicate areas, then why still recommend on the back of bottles? That’s my gripe with them not this girl or anyone else. I also understand it’s a generational thing that grandparents used to do but we now have more research on these things, especially the microbiome.
