Get ready for the ‘sync’ premiere as a 24h live sonic performance – next weekend at KW! 🎧
Lydia Ourahmane’s previous works are also partly dedicated to sound. ‘Third Choir’ was on view at Palazzo Ajutamicristo as part of Manifesta 12. The oil barrels, exported from Algeria, all contain a cell phone that act as amplifiers for FM frequencies. This results in a sound piece intended to create a sense of the politics of immigration.
Next weekend, you can see Ourahmane's soundwork for yourself and even become part of it. Join us at KW to witness @emogirl4’s site-specific piece sync in collaboration with musician @_danielblumberg_ as part of KW’s Pause series.
