Some detail images of a solid oak door I recently completed for @whothefuckiseric. I took these photos before glueing everything up to give a sense of how the door is constructed from 7 separate pieces. My work is inextricably linked to the act of drawing. While the finished piece exists as carved wood, it always begins with sketches and I see the forms as being drawn by chisel. Drawing helps remind me to keep the work fluid and to never lose a sense of the unexpected.
