Last night at @theryman, we had the huge honor of honoring the incredible @shanemcanally, @ashleymcbryde, & @carlypearce with their song, “Never Wanted to be that Girl” 💗 We couldn’t imagine making our Ryman debut in a more special way. Thank you @nsaiofficial for trusting us with this song & for putting on such an inspiring show. 🙌🏻 // I woke up this morning thinking, what the heck happened last night? @garthbrooks was in the front row, @taylorswift was there in human form, we got to sing in front of so many writers we look up to & admire... just wow. I had butterflies the whole night. So grateful for this community of creatives, incredible musicians, the people who care so deeply about songwriter’s & this opportunity to honor a few of our favorites. 🤯 There were many times last night we felt emotional, but it clicked when we were asked in an interview, “Last year you were playing Whiskey Row down on Broadway, and now you’re playing the Ryman, what’s that like?” 🥹
