🎗️🩵 The NFL’s Crucial Catch initiative holds a deeply personal place in my heart. It’s more than just a themed game or a colorful logo on a uniform — it’s a powerful reminder of the battles that have shaped my life, my family, and my sense of purpose. I’ve been blessed to witness incredible strength in those close to me. My mom Melinda, Aunt Danis, and both of my grandfathers have all bravely battled cancer and come out the other side. Their resilience and courage inspire me daily, and I’m so grateful for the time and memories we continue to share. Cancer has also taken people I love far too soon. My beautiful grandmothers Kay and Mimi, my Uncle Paul, and my college teammate Kate each fought with everything they had. Though their journeys ended differently, cancer never stole their dignity or dimmed the light they left behind. Their legacies live on through the love they shared, the courage they showed, and the lives they touched. Crucial Catch honors every kind of fight: the triumphant, the ongoing, and the ones that ended in loss. It reminds us that while cancer may impact our bodies, it cannot define our spirits. This initiative encourages us all to be exactly where our feet are, live with intentionality and choose love. We should inspire others to live with hope, strength and purpose. Although it can feel bitter sweet, Crucial Catch is a beautiful tribute. It’s a moment of collective awareness, remembrance, and unity — for those who have rang the bell, those still fighting, and for those whose stories we continue to share.
