Love love loved. Hilarious. Moving. Undeniably Jewish. Sarah Silverman adapted her comedic sensibility into a musical so beautifully, co-written with the brilliance of Joshua Harmon and one of my all-time favorite songwriters, the late Adam Schlesinger. The astounding cast is led by Zoe Glick, channeling 10-yo Sarah and delivering one of the best and funniest young-person performances I’ve ever seen on a stage. Everyone else is so good too—including Bebe Neuwirth as a grandmother I recognized all too well—and I was lucky enough to see Lauren Marcus (@laurmarcus) understudy the role of Sarah’s mom and wow, she was absolutely fantastic. Superb direction by Anne Kauffman, too. If you can get tickets to see this show, you really really should.
