Because of my last job in investment banking, the old ways of working is still deeply rooted in me, in the sense that i always try to be as efficient/ fast as I can be and finish as many asks as possible before the day wraps up at 5-6PM. Usually when I’m asked if a deadline can be met for a new project, I always say yes and make sure I submit everything before that even if it means working long after work hours - bc in banking u don’t as much flexibility to push back as an analyst... Which is why now I’m struggling to get use to the idea that it is okay to push back and deprioritize certain tasks LOL.
