This summer @thesurflodge's walls in Montauk are wrapped floor to ceiling with the fantastic artworks of @DaniOrchard Danielle Orchard paints dreamy domestic scenes of women, often nude, engaged in leisurely activities or solitary contemplation. With a wry nod to art historical sovereigns - Picasso, Matisse, Caravaggio - the artist looks to reveal the vulnerable inner thoughts of her female subjects... to capture what she calls the “anxiety of intimacy”: the challenges of truly knowing another person.
