This week, Chelsea Market was proud to host the first annual Anne Saxelby Legacy Fund Benefit, celebrating the life of Anne Saxelby: a culinary pioneer and champion of sustainable farming. Over 60 NYC chefs participated in an evening of epicurean magic that spanned the main concourse and lower level of the Market. The festivities included a private screening of the @artechouse exhibit Life of a Neuron, a silent auction of fabulous food and wine prizes, and the honoring of the first ASLF apprentice class. The @annesaxelbylegacyfund provides young adults month-long paid apprenticeships on sustainable farms where they are taught best practices and agricultural techniques applicable to their local communities.
