So much fun to work with Natalia Dyer As Nancy Wheeler for most of Season 4. Her character went on a journey to the upside down and back so her makeup started to breakdown from her cute everyday look into her more action hero look midway through the series. When I’m working with actresses who have to wear a broken down look for awhile I like to find skin friendly ingredients that bring the shine and grime. For her sequences in the upside down I prepped her skin with @weleda_usa Skin Food mixed with @maccosmetics Strobe cream and used one of the @florencebymills cloud highlighter pots over her foundation in areas to keep her super dewy and shiny in the moody lighting. @tatcha Dewy spray was great for closeups to add more texture and @sunbum spray sunscreen for shine on the body. It was SO cold when we filmed a lot of the exterior upside down scenes so I wanted to avoid spraying her with water and such on set as much as possible. We used more fx style products like Ultra Wet & @alliedfxco gloss sealer for the most slimy of her looks when the story called for it. Her makeup look was designed by @amylforsythe and later on applied by @nataleighnicole as well as some others on the team I’m sure- always a huge team effort on our show.
