Especially if it’s icky, right? I don’t know about you guys, but rumination- that is focusing on the symptoms, causes and consequences of our distress - is a haunting, and unrelenting habit.

The past is like a movie you’ve seen already. Sure, you can watch it over and over again looking for different perspectives, through different lenses, with new considerations in mind and every empathetic intention your beautiful brain can muster. I think that’s great. Beautiful. Bravo 👏🏽, I say. The world needs more considerate individuals. — here’s the rub:

Regardless of where you watch, how you watch, why you watch or when - what happened is what happened. You will not change it by replaying.
Rumination is not reformation.
Reliving is not revival.
Let go of how you wished it might have been. The sooner you do, you can grab hold of how it IS now and put yourself in the driver seat of how it WILL BE. Less then, more now. More fix, less fault. ❤️ I love you.
