Raising little boys who will be men one day is an honor and extensive. Creating a safe home filled will love, freedom of expression, respect, boundaries, inspiration, and inclusion is no easy task, but it’s rewarding. Sure their idiosyncrasies, feeding their bottomless stomachs, and dealing with their neurodiversity has me at my wits ends at times. Let’s not deny the lows of motherhood/parenting. Doing my best, inculcating the important things, and focusing on what they need, settles my mothering heart to know I’m doing my part to foster more than decent human beings. The little things, and little moments like this, remind me I can’t change everything, but what I do at home and when they’re with me, matters. #raisingboys
