Milestone birthdays always offer a unique opportunity for reflection, and today is one such occasion when I’ve spent most of the day reflecting on the incredible and innumerate blessings of the past 40 years. Of all those gifts - and there are many - still the single greatest of them all has been the gift of a twin sister. A best friend and a partner in crime, who knows you like no other, and is your biggest supporter (and defender) in good times and bad. It’s impossible to fully define my sense of self without my twin (and usually the first fact I pridefully volunteer when meeting anyone new). And as different as we might appear to anyone that knows us, my sister and I take an incredible amount of joy (and comfort) in a certain foundational understanding and sameness that will never change, no matter what life throws our way. Happy 40th Birthday to my twin sister @ayannamelanie who is without peer, and is absolutely EPIC at everything she does. So grateful and so proud to be your brother, and excited for the many adventures on life’s long journey, to come.
