Hiram Mason, may be one of those souls who sparked this preoccupation with history and identity. This warm soul took me through his New Orleans. A mix of beauty and heartache. Dark artifacts of local history surrounded by people full of light. His willingness to open up his home to talk about and introduce me to his family for hours is an experience I’ll never forget.
