“I go by Shygirl, but most people by now know I’m not shy,” says multidisciplinary artist @0800shygirl (Shygirl). “My music is a constant exploration of self with inspiration rooted in club culture, but also a collection of eclectic influences.” Since co-founding the independent label and collective Nuxxe in 2016, Shygirl has put out a string of singles and EPs. She recently released her full-length debut “Nymph.” “This isn’t just about making an album. It’s about developing as a person. I think people see that with the different themes I’m now playing with. My music is a sonic description of me, so I don’t really define it by genre. I’d hate to feel boxed in. I’d like to think I have room to change and warp according to my moods or experiences, and hope my music has the same space.” P.S.
