The main island of Phu Quy is about 18-square km, but an ideal stay is 3-4 days, to decompress and explore at your own pace. Lodging is mostly motels and homestays rather than resorts. Transport is by motorbike, on clear, spacious roads. The island is partly wind-powered, and closes fairly early after dinner, as daily visitors ride the ferry back to Binh Thuan.
