Pietà: Requiem for the Mother I Wanted to Be . . This was the result of some meditation over the past few days on motherhood. I have heard from so many friends that are mourning, making the conscious decision to put their dreams of raising daughters on the shelf. I had thought about wanting to raise a family, about wanting a daughter. I think about her and what her name would be. But I cannot bring myself to imagine bringing her into the world as it is. So, for now, I mourn. I will wait for you, my love.
