I try to live daily keeping the Seven Grandfather teachings top of mind. Those are Love, Humility, Respect, Wisdom, Honesty, Bravery, Truth. To know these teachings is to know the truth. Practicing these teachings every day is the way to lead a good life.” Similar to Talaga, @lawrencehillwriter, finds purpose in pursuing human rights work. Influenced by his parents, his work touches on issues of identity and belonging. “If I had a day entirely to myself, I might go for an all-day hike along a river or beside an ocean, and pack a peanut butter sandwich, a thermos of coffee, a slice of lemon cake, and a portable mattress and pillow for a nap; or find a treehouse, make some oatmeal, and open a huge novel; or chop logs and kindling, build a massive fire and sit all night by it in the otherwise completely unlit countryside so I could admire the heavens above.” How do you live life, on purpose?
