Tonight, the controversial Golden Globe Awards are back on the small screen, after NBC and Hollywood at large boycotted last year’s awards ceremony. The awards, and the organization behind it, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), have been criticized for its absolute lack of diversity for years. In response, the HFPA announced that it would diversify its membership, and clearly attempted to do the same with the awards overall.
