finally got some pictures developed from the shitty disposable camera i brought to @salmon_creek_farm 🌾 i kinda think it’s impossible to capture this place regardless bc it is just so full of redwoods and sorrel and beautifully restored “collage carpentry” cabins (to quote carpentry hero @johngnorski ) and some of the prettiest tree-filtered light i’ve ever seen :’) not to mention the wood-fired hot tub which is EVERYTHING ❤️‍🔥⁣ ⁣ i spent a week there in May cooking all vegetarian versions of my favorites for a handful of very sweet smart hard-working people who were renovating a dilapidated cabin and/or running salmon creek. i used a composting toilet for the first time (regular toilets should be illegal tbh) and read zines written by people who formed a commune at salmon creek in the 70s and learned how to build the cabins (their homes!) from scratch. i didn’t really take any pictures of the food i made but trust it was good and healing and inspired by the garden and energy of this special place that i still carry w me in a tiny corner of my heart 🌀✨🌀✨🌀
