Wild Salmon are sacred. For our ecosystems but also for us, for our people, for the local economy, for Indigenous People and all living beings that depend on it. There has been success stories of places that were able remove the open net fish farms in their beautiful waters like the Broughton Archipelago and down in the US in Washington state. But the fight is not over for us here in Clayoquot Sound and many other places in the World. Rivers that used to see thousands of fish come back to spawn, some of them over 100lbs chinook, are now seeing extremely concerning returns of under 10 single fish. We must keep fighting for what’s right and find solutions. Thanks to all who showed up today @clayoquot.action
