Hi, I'm Éva and I'm the Latina founder of @getmaude. I started this company after a youth in New Mexico (a state far down the list in sex ed and condom usage), a young adulthood in California where I peered behind the curtain of the healthcare system as a legislative aide, and my early 30s at brands like @everlane and @josiemaran. I've spent seven years of my life building @getmaude, five of which were fundraising venture capital (from @truebeautyventures, @truegloballive, @cassiusfamily, @fableinvestments, @rre, @endeavor, @benjaminmillepied, and my Co-Creative Director @dakotajohnson, et. al) where I came out the other side as one of only 10 Latinas to raise as much. I spend my days with an incredible team of humans and two very tall Scorpios (@tyluhrr @igoicochea) who help me bring all of our in-house designed products—including the iconic vibe, a product featured in @momadesignatore and yet unannounced new museum—to life. Last week, we made history launching in @sephora as one of the first sexual wellness brands in its 52-year history. And this week, we're honored to formally launch partnerships with @advocatesforyouth and @siecus, two phenomenal organizations that are the future of sexual wellness and advocacy. The road has been long, it has required the willingness to fight for what's right (carrying the torch of those who’ve fought this industry’s long sexist history), and yes, it has been paved with some lazy, entitled rocks trying to copy our blood, sweat, and tears, but the next chapter is just beginning.
